Necessity for STEM instruction in the middle school will be discussed. The Importance of teaching STEM, not Science, Technology, Engineering and Math as discrete subjects will be discussed. How to integrate the subjects so students see the entire package will be demonstrated. The Indiana STEM School Certification process will be shown as an example of complete STEM integration. Statistics and probability activities, using the scientific process, will be presented to and worked by the participants attending. How to tie science and math concepts together so students learn techniques to solve problems in both subjects using the same process.
