Lombard and Vermont Streets in San Francisco are two of the most crooked streets in the United States. Use Sketchpad and Nspire to explore sinuosity, a ratio used to measure the crookedness of these streets, rivers, and = sinx. Connections to mathematical topics will include trigonometry, circles, distance between two points, and arc length.
