Friday, April 19, 2013: 9:45 AM-11:00 AM
Mineral Hall D/E (Hyatt Regency )
Lead Speaker:
Armando M Martinez-Cruz
Co-speakers:
Jose Contreras and Patrick Kimani

Some Greeks constructed regular polygons by using tools other than ruler and compass. We follow this idea and use fraction circles (typically used in schools for fraction arithmetic) to construct and investigate properties of regular polygons. We also show how to quickly construct regular polygons with geometry software. Handouts provided.
