Understanding develops when students make connections. Explore how students develop connected knowledge by engaging in the NCTM Process Standards and Common Core's Standards for Mathematical Practice. We will do math and analyze classroom vignettes. Having written two new books for NCTM, we will share specific strategies to teach for connected knowledge.
