The deployment of CAS graphing calculators while embraced in Canada, Europe, and Australia with positive definitive results have not received wide acclaim in the United States. This hands-on workshop introduces participants to the TI-89 with concrete examples focusing on the positive benefits as well as the challenges faced with their utilization.
