We tend to use the phrase âout of proportionâ in discordant ways both in and out of mathematics classrooms. In this session, we will show how a single way of thinking should unify all understandings of proportional relationships. Particular attention will be paid to the progression of ideas in the 6.RP and 7.RP clusters of CCSSM.
