This session will explore the state of mathematics teaching and learning with Latinas/os in the US. We will use the concept of Mathematics Discourse Communities to discuss three prongs that constitute principled mathematics teaching with Latinas/os and what each of us can do to rethink our fundamental stance towards critical mathematics pedagogy.
