Innov8: Engaging the Struggling Learner

St. Louis, Missouri | November 16-18, 2016

Thank you for considering submitting a proposal to speak at NCTMs 2016 Innov8 Conference in St. Louis. We are excited to unveil NCTMs new learning experience and your proposal is an important step towards the meetings success!

What is Innov8?

  • Sessions will address one specific problem of practice: Engaging the Struggling Learner.
  • Innov8 will feature a variety of new session types and will be more focused and interactive than our other conferences.
  • The Innov8 Conference encourages collaboration and teamwork. Participants will bring their specific classroom, school, or district problems in engaging the struggling learner to the conference and work in teams to develop a plan and work towards solutions throughout the conference.
  • A selection of the proposals will be crowdsourced so that the NCTM community can vote for their favorite presentations and help build the conference schedule.
  • Some sessions will take place in the new Innovation Lounge that will be unveiled during the conference.
  • 30-Minute Sessions

    (10:00am-5:00pm Thursday and Friday)
Proposals for the 30 minute sessions will proceed through an initial blind review process then will be posted on the NCTM websites. The NCTM community will vote to select sessions for the conference.
