The speaker will offer strategies, including use of manipulatives, to develop number sense, place value, geometry and problem-solving competence. She will actively engage attendees with hands-on activities and real-life problems. She will model the power of mathematical discourse to develop concepts, reasoning, and mathematics vocabulary.
