400- Engaging Young Women in Geometric Investigations

The presenters will share engaging investigations that they use in outreach programs for young women in grades 6–8 and are appropriate for all students. Activities include concepts such as volume relationships, tilings with rep-tiles, patterns used to discover Eüler’s formula in nature, and linear relations between knotted ropes and their lengths.
