Use hundreds grids as models for solving word problems related to fractions, decimals, and percent. The hundreds grid is called the “keys to the kingdom” because it is a dependable model usable for many kinds of mathematics situations. It provides a context for students' thinking, communication, reasoning, and problem solving. Explore problems and situations and see samples of students' work.
