463- Problems, Patterns, Pascal’s Triangle, and Mathematical Power

Friday, April 15, 2011: 12:30 PM-1:30 PM
120 (Convention Center)
Lead Speaker:
Joseph R. Georgeson

Problems encourage the study of mathematics. Pascal’s triangle is an important pattern in the solution of many problems. What are the connections? This workshop will explore those connections algebraically and geometrically. Participants will fold paper, construct fractals, and make connections to problems, Pascal, and mathematical power.
