    • The Common Core State Standards (CCSS) identify eight mathematical practices that all students should acquire. Early algebra offers a powerful way to build these practices in grades K–8. Examine research-based early algebra activities, their effectiveness in grades 3–5, and their connections to CCSS mathematical practices.
