Friday, April 15, 2016: 12:30 PM-1:30 PM
122 (Moscone)

Lead Speaker:
ExWkshp DreamBox Learning

Learn about digital innovations in mathematics curricular resources and the designs that undergird new learning technologies from two leading mathematics educators involved in the research and development of both print and digital learning resources. Discuss how education technologies and blended learning models may or may not create new ways for students to engage with mathematics content and practices. Learn how to recognize coherent learning pathways, and use a blended learning approach to ensure students experience coherent trajectories. The presenters will explore pedagogical opportunities, technological challenges, and classroom realities as they provide design insights about task construction, continuous assessment, virtual manipulatives, and the differences between designing for collaboration and personalization.
