Historically, stereotypes of mathematicians have been impacted by gender identificationâa significant factor impacting studentsâ mathematical disposition equation. However self-reported survey data from 1400 middle school students reveals a shift in mathematical positioning based in self-perception/affective characteristic categorized by gender.
