Children are often at a loss when it comes to adding and subtracting multi-digit numbers using thinking strategies. This session will allow participants to investigate models-based sequences of instruction and assessments, designed to support students as they cultivate increasingly sophisticated approaches to solving addition and subtraction tasks.
