Three district-based, university–public school mathematics projects demonstrate that English language Learners’ (ELLs’) low achievement in mathematics may be from a lack of access to meaningful mathematics in a comprehensive district system. Data show achievement growth for ELL mathematics students in mathematically connected project districts.
