What is the nature of a person's mathematical experiences? What aspects of lived experiences impact upon living mathematical experiences? What kinds of experiential factors might influence one’s conceptions of being mathematical? We are trying to understand the interior “mathematical experiential world” in ways that can influence teaching practice.
