Mathematics teachers often wonder how to teach vocabulary effectively to promote ELLs’ mathematics and language learning. The presenter will share teaching strategies to do just that, connecting ELLs’ prior learning, conducing concept-based vocabulary instruction, and using multiple ways to engage students in using the new words.
