Description:
The purpose of this project was to build theory and knowledge about the nature of students’ mathematical discourse as they work with various virtual manipulative types. Results and videos of students' discourse will be presented and discussed. The results extend the existing literature on the ways students discuss mathematical ideas while using technology. Instructional implications will be discussed.
