Explore the role of rotation symmetry in the Common Core State Standards. Use rotations to help students gain insight into the attributes of figures and to prove eight theorems in G-CO.9, 10, 11: vertical angles, alternate interior angles, corresponding angles; angles in a triangle; sides, angles, and diagonals in parallelograms; and midsegments in triangles.
