Preliminary results from a 3-year longitudinal study of Grades 4-8 students’ self-efficacy and interest in STEM, perceptions of mathematics and science instruction, and achievement on state mathematics and science assessments. Findings suggest potential benefits when teachers’ instruction attends to students’ sources of mathematics self-efficacy.
