This session will introduce a structure for designing measurement tasks for length, area, and volume based on some of the major ideas of measurement, including comparison, attribute identification, unit, and ratio. The speakers believe that using structure can help students develop a general understanding of unit and ratio. They will present examples of tasks designed with this structure and students' work.
