The poster presents a research instrument designed to explore the existence of norms in the instructional situation of Geometric Calculations in Algebra. The instrument was piloted with 29 high school mathematics teachers. The data provides evidence that high school mathematics teachers recognize the hypothesized norms targeted by the instrument.
